Blaze McGruder turned one slipped disc, two live chainsaws and a lifetime gym ban into the fitness movement nobody was insured to stop.

Blaze McGruder invented Chainsaw Pilates after slipping a disc during a warm-up and accidentally cutting a Planet Fitness in half. The incident ended his membership but revealed what he calls the body’s natural relationship with rotational torque.

Classes combine controlled breathing, deep abdominal work and actual running chainsaws. Beginners start with a smaller guide bar; advanced members progress to the Splinter Reformer, an apparatus not recognised by any medical body or fire door.

McGruder is now banned from every Planet Fitness and the National Forestry Service. He displays both letters beside the reception desk as professional accreditation.
