Desert Drive Live is the last known broadcast coming out of the Western Wastes—a place where the map burns out, the rocks hum at midnight and the laws of man are more like suggestions.
At its centre is a full-length music-and-comedy show hosted by Jack the Burner. Around it sits an expanding world of original artists, parody companies, absurd public-service films, fan mail and fake history.
The joke is never that the world is fake. The joke is that everybody inside it treats the madness as completely ordinary. Bite-Back really is at war beneath the bins. Tiger Flakes really does have a mascot-compliance crisis. Funeral Buffet really did survive the SnugglePals incident of 1998.
